Yoga with a dose of Doe Bay Magic

Not only does the practice of yoga increase flexibility, strength, concentration, and body awareness, it also works wonders at calming your mind and reducing stress. All of these wonderful attributes make taking a class here at Doe Bay a beautiful enhancement to your stay on Orcas Island.

Whether you want to continue your regular yoga practice or try it out for the first time in an intimate, relaxed environment, we offer regular on-site classes in our spacious waterfront Yoga Studio, sweetly perched in a location that provides postcard-worthy views of the ocean and neighboring islands.

The drop-in fee for classes is $10, paid to the instructor. Props and mats are are available for use. Check the calendar of events for our current schedule. Please join us!

Meet Our Instructors

Kara O’Toole RYT® 200 brings over 30 years of teaching experience to the studio and is devoted to sequencing aligned yoga poses with a joy of movement and breath. In her classes, Kara is focused on supporting the needs of her students by meeting and encouraging them right where they are. Her love of yoga has been building for over 20 years and her practice has been fueled by the restorative power yoga has had in her life as a retired professional dancer. Kara has studied with many inspirational yoga teachers, most significantly Troy Lucero, Shiva Rae, Djuna Mascall, Cyndi Lee, Kathleen Hunt, and all of the amazing teachers at her Yoga Tree San Francisco teacher training. Kara holds a MFA in Dance from the University of Washington and has been living and working on Orcas Island with her family since 2011.
